Food contact materials and products（short name FCM） refers to various materials and products that have or are expected to come into contact with food or food additives, or whose components may be transferred to food under normal conditions of use. This includes packaging materials, containers, tools and equipment used for food during food production, processing, packaging, transportation, storage, sale and use, as well as inks, adhesives, lubricants, etc. that may come into direct or indirect contact with food.
At present, the European Union and some of its member states, the United States, China, Japan, South Korea and other regions have their own regulatory systems to ensure the quality and safety of food contact materials and products.
